A thousand-person conference, solved with a QR

How to hand out attendance certificates live, why they are priced separately, and how to size the bundle you need.

Why attendance certificates are separate

An attendance certificate proves something different from a diploma: being there, not learning. That is why it has its own economics — between $0.76 and $0.35 each — and comes from a bundle you buy separately, without touching your plan's credential allowance.

A 3,000-person conference does not eat your year.

Size your bundle

Each bundle lasts 12 months and the oldest is used first. Your plan also includes a few complimentary ones each year. You do not need a paid plan to buy a bundle.

  1. Workshop: 250 certificates for $190 USD ($0.76 each).
  2. Event: 1,000 for $690 ($0.69 each).
  3. Conference: 5,000 for $2,450 ($0.49 each).
  4. Fair or state-wide program: 20,000 for $6,900 ($0.35 each).

Set up the event

  1. Create the certificate badge and mark it as an event certificate. That checkbox is what makes it draw from the bundle.
  2. Go to Events → New event and set the name, dates and the badge to be handed out.
  3. You get a short code and a printable QR sheet.

Heads up: If the template is not marked as a certificate, the event will reject it. That is deliberate: it stops a diploma slipping out through the cheap door.

On the day

The attendee scans the QR, types their name and email, and gets their signed certificate instantly. No account, no app.

  1. Print the QR sheets and put them on the registration desks and by the exit.
  2. Project the event wall if you like: it shows live how many certificates have been claimed.
  3. Download the code CSV if you need controlled individual access.

Afterwards

Every certificate handed out is verifiable like any other credential, and stays tied to your institution. It is sales material for the next edition: you can show how many people attended, and prove it.
