About us

We build the trust that makes an achievement count

VeriCert is the verifiable credentialing infrastructure for Latin America. Every diploma, badge or ID issued here is cryptographically signed in the name of the institution that grants it, and anyone can confirm in seconds that it is authentic, unaltered and still valid.

Our mission

To build a trustworthy ecosystem where students, professionals and institutions can issue, manage and verify credentials with academic rigor and technical backing. We believe in a future where learning never stops and credentials must be portable, verifiable and globally recognized.

We act as a neutral verification party: the issuing identity, the cryptographic keys and the data belong to each institution, not to us. VeriCert is the infrastructure, never the issuer.

What we stand for

The credential belongs to its holderHolders keep it in their wallet, share it on LinkedIn and keep it even if they change institution or country.
The issuer is the institutionIts own did:web identity, isolated encrypted keys, and verification on its own domain. Our brand can disappear entirely.
Open standards, no lock-inOpen Badges 3.0 and W3C Verifiable Credentials: what you issue here verifies in any validator of the ecosystem, with or without us.
Issued means issuedChanging plans, pausing the account or leaving never invalidates a credential already granted. Validity is not rented.
Accessible to everyoneVoice mode, high contrast, dyslexia-friendly type and assisted kiosk: a credential you cannot read is worthless.
Built for Latin AmericaSpanish and English, annual invoicing and CFDI, local payments and pricing designed for the region’s institutional budgets.

What it is built on

Every credential is signed twice — embedded Data Integrity proof (eddsa-rdfc-2022) and VC-JWT RS256 — so that both standard validators and ecosystem wallets accept it. Revocation is published in a signed status list, and each institution’s identity lives in its own did:web.
